CAPS’ Zoo Video Launched in Croatia

CAPS’ campaign video Sad Eyes and Empty lives, which exposes the appalling conditions for animals in zoos, and the conservation con that keeps these places in business, has now been translated into Croatian.

Animal Friends Croatia translated the video for use in their campaigns to educate the public about the cruelty of zoos. The group recently held a public viewing of the film in King Tomislav Square where it was projected onto a large screen throughout the evening. Visitors also picked up printed information about animal rights.

A spokesperson for Animal Friends Croatia said: “Zoos should become a thing of the past and people should respect the needs of other species by repressing their urge to keep someone jailed for life only for a simple reason - they like to watch them.

“Animal Friends plan to run the open-air video projections on a regular basis in the evenings with various themes related to our treatment of animals.'
