Raising funds to support our work is one of the most valuable things you can do for CAPS and the animals that we work to protect. Fundraising activities can be fun, rewarding and a fantastic experience. Some fundraising initiatives don’t even require any effort on your part and simply allow us to raise money from things that you do already (recycling ink cartridges or even just using the internet, for example). Below you will find our initiatives grouped into levels from five-minute fundraisers (yes, it can be that simple!) to fundraising ideas for supporters wishing to make a big impact.
Use easysearch as your online search engine and they will make a donation to CAPS with every search. Easysearch is an online search engine that raises funds for over 10,000 UK charities.

Shop online with your favourite stores and raise money at the same time.
Easyfundraising work with thousands of well know retailers who will donate a percentage of your spend to CAPS when you shop with them through the easy fundraising site, at no extra cost to you.
For example, insure your car with the RAC and they’ll donate up to £30 to CAPS. Take out a new mobile contract with Vodafone and raise up to £45.00. Spend £50 with Boden and you’ll raise £1.25. It’s as simple as that!
Recycle your Mobiles, Inkjets, Laser or Toner Cartridges and raise money for CAPS.
Simply follow the link to register, choose the recycling materials you require to send back your unwanted items and recycle4charity will convert them in to donations for CAPS.
With jewellery recycling, for each item of jewellery CAPS will receive 75% of the market value. It might be an odd earring, a damaged ring, broken bracelet or any precious metal or precious/semi-precious stone. You can of course, also donate complete and undamaged jewellery too!
To donate your jewellery, simply email georgina@captiveanimals.org or call us on 0845 330 3911 to request a freepost envelope.
Turn your old car into cash to support our urgent campaigns. Give a car will arrange collection from your home address and then either sell your car at auction or scrap it. The profits are then donated straight to CAPS.

If you have some time on your hands, why not consider becoming a street collector for CAPS, or running a stall on our behalf? We can provide literature and posters for maximum impact, as well as organising relevant collecting permits. Please contact georgina@captiveanimals.org if you would like to help.
There are whole host of fundraising events that you can arrange to support CAPS. If your local pub holds a quiz night then why not ask them to do one to support us? If you or your friends and family are in a band, you could hold a benefit gig on our behalf. Collection tins in your workplace help to collect those extra pennies and pounds. In fact, the list of ways in which you can help is virtually endless. A little bit of imagination and enthusiasm can lead to a fantastic fundraising event.
