The following clips are from videos taken during the CAPS investigation of UK public aquaria. The clips are for use on broadband connections. For dial-up connections use the 56k versions. All clips require RealPlayer.

Spiralling dogfish Spiralling >>
Continuously spinning through the water either around a central point or around an imaginary axis moving in a spiral course
Flashing cichlid Flashing >>
Repeatedly turning on one side and rubbing one flank on the substrate or any other surface
Circling red-tailed catfish Circling >>
A form of pacing where the animal continues around a circular path with no points easily singled out of where it ends or begins
Pacing yellow-tailed tang Pacing >>
Continuous walking/swimming to and fro, following the same path, when performed with no apparent special response to a transparent boundary (i.e. glass)
Puffer ITB Interaction with Transparent Boundaries (ITB) >>
Continuously walking/swimming onto the glass or reflecting walls of an enclosure, either attempting to climb on them, go through them, or responding to a reflection from them
Surfacing plaice Surfacing (Surface Breaking Behaviour) >>
Whilst swimming repeatedly lifting the front of the body so that the snout or front of the head is raised above the level of the water, when performed with no apparent response to a transparent boundary
Handling starfish Handling >>
Visitors handling animals, either with or without permission
